Games I Look Forward To In September
Monday, August 30th, 2010Hey, i know we have been seriously slacking, but no more. Here are the picks for the month of September:
The buzz around the new Spidey game is huge and is probaly one of the most anticipated games for the last quarter of the year. 4 different Spidermans? Thats……..32 legs!?!?!?!?!?
Taking a hint from Nintendo, Sony now has their own Motion Sensor Parapheil. Called the Playstation Move, you wield to controllers (just like a Wii-Mote) and use them to compete in carious sports, like volleyball, archery, and table tennis. Sounds familiar, huh?
The prequel to all the Kingdom Hearts games. Promises to reveal and answer all the mysteries surrounding the game. Who are the 3 Keyblade wielders? Why does one look like Roxas? Why does the other look like Zack from FF7? How did Mickey get so bad ass?
Sequel to one of the most greatest zombie games ever. This time, your a contestant in a game show trying to win enough money to find a cure for your daughter. Throw in the ability to combine items together to make new weapons and 2 player Co-op and you got a hell of a good time.
And last but not leastm we have Halo: Reach. Supposedly the biggest game of the year, will Bungie be able to send the Halo franchise out with one last Hoo-rah or is this another excuse to milk the public for money. All I know is that one way or another, I will be getting this game.
A game i have personally been waiting for since a small article about it appeared in Game Informer. Looks like SEGA’s getting its groove back with this one. If you havent heard of it, download the demo on Xbox Live now.
First it was Super Smash Bros. Brawl, now the Wii is getting a brand new fighting game. This much anticipated title has recieved an incredible fan base overseas, can it do the same here?
How could you not want to play this game? You not only get to play as one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Mark Hamill also does the voice of a wise cracking ghost. Mark Hamill!!!!!!!!
Our very own Nitsu dman near traded his soul to get this game. You take on the roll of a dragon slayer in training in an epic rpg fantasy. Fans of Fable and Elder Scrolls: Oblivion will enjoy this one.
Sequel to one of the most over the top, insance Wii games to date (other then Mad World). Promising 10x more craziness, a must buy for fans of beam sabers.
The sequel to one of the greatest FPS’s on the next gne console to date. Promising tons of new quirks and other additions, will it be better then its prior entry?
Another sequel (what is this, the year of the sequels?) to one of the greatest third person action games i’ve played. The first Assasin’s Creed was amazing, this looks to be better.
Another sequel. The first was completly out of left field and was hailed as one of the best multiplayer experiences around. the second will be better, i hope, cause it was kinda rush.
featuring the voice talents of Jack Black and legendary rock artist, this game is not only funny, but kick ass as well.
finally, tekken has come to the next gen consoles and more importantly, to the xbox 360. will this 6th entry be the one to destroy all previous entries?
unknown to many, i’m an avid fan of wrestling. last years SVR 09 sported the create your finisher feature. this year’s entry promise’s 100x more content then featured in previous titles. all i got to say is see you at Wrestlemania!!!!!!!!
the first soul calibur game to be released on a portable system. best thing about it? you can play as kratos. nuff’ said.
sequel to one of the best multipalyer beat em’ ups ever. based on the secret and civil war storylines, pick a side and go to war.
the hype around this game is ridiculous. even though its a minor substitution for halo 3, this game still promises to be an halo expereince like none other. after what bungie did with halo wars, i have faith in them and this game.
This game claims that it will put an end to the dreaded Batman game curse. From the looks of the demo, it will.
This game has spread like wildfire all over japan and if the clips seen on youtube are true, then i can see why. Now we can finally have the question people for years have been asking: Who’s the bigger a**hole, Sephiroth or Jecht?
I really don’t look forward to this game, but its a definite money maker. Be ready to watch most of your friends desert you in the middle of matches just to go back to the 100yd. gridiron. Are you ready for some football?
Yes, we have four picks this month (thanks to Madden 2010). This is the console version in the Spectrobes series. Spectrobes is sponsored by Disney and involves you digging up minerals and fossils of monsters so you can resurrect them, raise and train them, and then fight with them against alien forces. The DS version was very well done, so I’m banking on this version to be even better. So if your tired of Pokemon and looking for something new, look no further.
The Warriors: Street Brawl
TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled
Shaping up (literally) to be one of the best sandbox games out there. Forget Infamous.
Fully destructible environments, Construction vehicles that look like Transformers, and a really cool hammer. Is there a reason NOT to buy this game?
Based off the actual movie franchise. You get to fight Marshmallow Man. MARSHMALLOW MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I may not have a PS3, but I still can’t wait to play this game.
Finally, a game based on a movie that does it right. Looks very brutal and is full of action. What else do you expect from the man known as Wolverine.
Based on the upcoming Terminator film, this Gears of War clone promises to offer plenty of T-1000 slaying action. And from the looks of it, i think its possible.

Sequel to one of the most in depth sandbox game i’ve ever played
Another sequel. First one was good, will the second be better. (Where’s Gundam DeathScythe?!?)
The info on this game is scarce, but after playing the demo i can’t wait for it.
