Comments: The first person of the night to figure out the weakness of the Raging Demon, Namurai showed a ray of hope that was quickly snuffed out by Talos.

Comments: Bomber decided to mock Namurai by using one of the weakest characters on the game. It was indeed a hilarious match.
Round 20: Bosaka (Akuma) vs Bomberman (Ryu)
Winner: Bomberman
Comments: After eating a Ultra Combo to the gonads, the match was pretty downhill from there.
Round 21: Gibbitude (Rufus) vs Bomberman (Rose)
Winner: Bomberman

Round 22: Talos (Akuma) vs Bomberman (Ryu)

Next week: Madden 09.
5-14-2009
So, this last week on the show, we started a new gimmick. You see, in between the beginning of the show and various breaks of the show, there’s a lot of trash talk. So we, the crew of the show decided instead of always talking shit to each other, we’d pick up the sticks and start having matches during and after the show in various games. This past weeks games were Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Gundam Battle Assault 2. Here’s the results.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3
Round 1:
Bomberman (Mecha-Frieza) vs. Nitsu (Kid Goku: Dragonball GT)
Winner: Bomberman
Comments: Nitsu basically was trying to mock Bomberman seeing as in Bomber hadn’t played DBZ in like years, but in the end, it was Bomber standing strong.
Round 2: Bomberman (Bardock) vs Nitsu (Goku SS4)
Winner: Nitsu
Comments: Obviously pissed at his defeat, Nitsu pulled out all the stops against Bomber, to the point where all Bomber could do was watch his character get ping ponged around the stage.
Round 3: Bomberman (Majin Vegeta) vs Nitsu (Goku SS4)
Winner: Bomberman
Comments: This match was the deciding factor. Bomber’s desire to commit suicide using Majin Vegeta was more then Nitsu expected, resulting in his close victory.
Round 4: Gibbitude (Baby Vegeta) vs Bomber (Mecha-Frieza)
Winner: Bomberman
Comments: not really having played any DBZ games (or fighting games for that matter) gave Bomber a run for his money. But it was Bomber, after using his Death Beam, that in the end was victorious.
Round 5: Gibbitude (Baby Vegeta) vs Bomber (Cooler Final Form)
Winner: Gibbitude
Comments: Bomber, seemingly on the verge of a winning streak, decided for the bigger is better card and used Frieza’s older brother cooler as his next fighter. This arrogant attitude would cost him as Gibbitude kicked his behind eight ways to Sunday in what was ultimately one of the longest matches of the night, with Gibbitude standing victorious in the end.
Round 6: Gibbitude (Baby Vegeta) vs Nitsu (Gogeta SS4)
Winner: Nitsu
Comments: This was a match of two super heavy weights, with Nitsu showing off why the 10X Kamehameha is the king of energy attacks.
So that’s the play by play of what happened in DBZ. The next game was Gundam Battle Assault 2, an old school game for the PSX the features various mobile suits from most of the Gundam series.

Round 1: Bomberman (Death Scythe) vs Talos (Nu Gundam)
Winner: Bomberman
Comments: Talos claimed he would wipe the floor with everyone, a challenge Bomber decided with to accept. Bomber overall won the match, but not with out a couple of bumps and bruises.
Round 2: Bomberman (Death Scythe) vs Nitsu (Burning Gundam)
Winner: Bomberman
Comments: This match had been building for weeks, both sides claiming their Gundam was king. In the end, Bomber snuffed the fire of Burning Gundam, settling the debate once and for all.
Round 3: Nitsu (Burning Gundam) vs. Gibbitude (Rose Gundam)
Winner: Nitsu
Comments: Looking to redeem himself, via his loss at the hands of Bomberman, Nitsu took on Gibbitude on what was a pretty one sided match.
Round 4: Bomberman (Gundam Maxter) vs. Gibbitude (Rose Gundam)
Winner: Bomberman
Comments: In what many fighting games consider a cheap move, Bomber pinned Gibbitude in the corner and repeatedly wailed away at Rose Gundam, ending it with a aerial projectile for the win.
Round 5: Bomberman (Gundam Maxter) vs. Talos (Nu Gundam)
Winner: Talos
Comments: Having got his feel back for the game, Talos proceeded to rip Bomber a new one. Even though he gave him a run for his money, there was nothing Bomber could do overall before the power of Talos and his Nu Gundam.
Round 6: Nitsu (Burning Gundam) vs. Talos (Nu Gundam)
Winner: Talos
Comments: Hoping that Burning Gundams special could stop the beast that was Talos, Nitsu fought a hard battle against Nu Gundam and its superior fighting style. Making use of his funnels, Talos ended the match swiftly, if not effectively.
Round 6: Gibbitude (Gundam Altron) vs. Nitsu (Burning Gundam)
Winner: Gibbitude
Comments: Using Altron’s impressive reach, Gibbitude secured a victory that, if anything, surprised everyone, including his self.
Round 7: Bomberman (Nu Gundam) vs. Talos (Nu Gundam)
Winner: Bomberman
Comments: Catching flak for using the same Gundam as Talos, Bomber fought his way to a secure victory, matching Talos move for move.
Round 8: Bomberman (Nu Gundam) vs. Talos (Nu Gundam)
Winner: Talos
Comments: Playing around trying to use a powerful move as an attempt to mock Talos costed Bomber the match, allowing Talos to perfect his skill with Nu Gundam even further.
Round 9: Bomberman (Nu Gundam) vs. Talos (Nu Gundam)
Winner: Talos
Comments: Talos proved once and for all he was the better player, showing Bomber that just because you use the same Gundam and do the same moves, doesn’t mean squat if you don’t use them effectively, showing Bomber the true horror of the Nu Gundam.
The overall results are as followe (which are decided by a win/loss ratio):
1st place: Bomberman 7-5
Talos 4-2
2nd place: Nitsu 3-5
3rd place: Gibbitude 2-5
That’s right people, Bomber and Talos tied for first. Pretty scary, huh? But overall, I’d have to give this week to Talos. For a guy who hasn’t played this particular game in years, he came out with a decent win/loss ratio of +2. Next week: Guilty Gear X2 and possibly Street Fighter IV.
